Sunshyn Productions Inc. wants to find ways to reach out to the youth of all ages. I don't believe that there are “Bad” children. I know that children are blessings from God. Sometimes we need to remember who & what they are, where they want to go and how we can assist them with their journey. I visited the Blacks in Wax museum in Baltimore, MD on Martin Luther King's Birthday this year and was truly moved by what I saw. There were moments when I was speechless and moments when I cried. It was a reminder of something most of us have only heard of but have never seen. I wish to extend the experience to as many of the youth today as possible. The displays at the Blacks in wax museum are flawless! The creativity and effort that has been apparently put into each and ever wax figure will blow your mind.
While touring the museum I kept thinking about some of the problems that are within our society today. I could not stop thinking about the young gentlemen & the young ladies of today...right now that could benefit in one way or another by simply seeing such a work of art.
I spoke to a young man that I knew when he was just a toddler, about the idea of gathering some of his peers together to go to the museum. I told him that I thought there were some displays that we really need to see from time to time in order to refresh our memory. Remind us of how far we've come as a people and yet have so far to go. There are many positives that I believe can come from such a trip. The young man that I'm speaking about has been referred to by many as a "bad" child for as long as I can remember. However, not only did he think the trip would be a great idea, he's also offered to help me in getting the word out and to help reach the parents or guardians for the appropriate permission required. Just a few days after our initial conversation, I've been asked by several about the trip and when they can expect to go. I'm excited! Why you ask... Well, I try not to speak about a problem unless I believe that I can be a part of a solution. I feel that I would be contributing something positive to many that may just need a reminder of something they've never seen but have only heard of before.
Sunshyn Productions Inc. has decided to provide a bus excursion to Baltimore, MD to the Blacks in Wax Museum. The first trip will not be the last. If you are interested in obtaining additional information please feel free to email me at wstill@whittingtonstill.com I would like to see this trip duplicated by as many as possible, as soon as possible. When the dates are finalized they will be posted here immediately. I want to thank everyone for the support and the heartfelt prayers that have been very much appreciated.
Thank You
